“MZA Architecture featured in exhibits host by the city of Bellevue to celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month

May 22, 2023

The City of Bellevue

MZA Architecture is excited to be a part of City of Bellevue, Washington’s art exhibition featuring works by Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) artists. We are especially honored that our Founder, Ming Zhang, FAIA, has been invited to showcase our 2005 Fifth Avenue high-rise tower as a part of this inspiring exhibit. The exhibit coincides with AANHPI Heritage Month in May, when we celebrate and honor the incredible contributions that AANHPI individuals have made to our communities and our country and reflect on the diverse cultures and traditions that make our country so vibrant and dynamic.

On the evening of May 2nd, there was a reception held at the Bellevue City Hall to kick off the AANHPI art exhibition. The event was a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the incredible work of AANHPI artists. We believe that art and architecture have the power to bring people together, to spark conversation, and to create positive change in our communities.

We would like to acknowledge and recognize Jerry Lee for his philanthropic contribution of this remarkable exhibit. Without his hard work and dedication, this AANHPI art and culture showcase would not be possible.

To experience the beauty and power of AANHPI art and culture, Bellevue City Hall’s art exhibition is ongoing throughout the month of May.
