1916 Boren introduces a vertically integrated mixed-use program into Seattle’s dense Denny Triangle neighborhood, combining hospitality and residential living. Rising 484 feet across 44 stories, the tower interlocks a luxury hotel and multi-family units through a series of articulated volumes. The massing emphasizes horizontal terraces, creating a distinct skyline silhouette while integrating green terraces at multiple levels. The façade strategy employs a refined glass curtain wall system, punctuated by deep recesses and projecting balconies, framing panoramic views toward the city and Puget Sound. A podium with a sculpted base anchors the tower at the pedestrian scale, enriching the streetscape with landscape features and urban connectivity. Sustainability is embedded through passive design moves, and extensive planted terraces that soften the verticality of the form.
